At the end of A day in the life, just as the laaughing starts listen carefully a few times. I hear a woman saying No Survivors and it sounds as though its being said over a tannoy at an aiport perhaps?
Listen very carefully you hear the No in the left speak then surv then survivors to the right.
Someone please have a listen and see if im not listening to hard.
cheers.

You have good hearing, Jack! I had to put it on the turntable and repeat 4 times before I was sure, but you're right, but I hear it as almost a subliminal voice. Can't determine gender. I'll try to find where that clip is posted here and put it in this message later. It's the "inner groove" of the English version of Sgt. Pepper; not on the U.S. editions.

Wow!
Well done!
No comes out on left speaker survivors on right speaker....
Could it be taken from a news bulletin that never made it to air?

Im glad you can hear it, it just goes to show that there are still clues out there to be found and we all have access to them.
I think the noise at the end of A Day In The Life has a lot more to be found yet. I just wish I knew how to break it all up and listen to every sound that is in there individually.

I know, that's it, if all those pieces could be "uncut" as it were, back to the original parts, there would be something there, but alas I reckon it needs a real expert.

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ;D yeah, the beatles sure had a good time sharing how they were covering up the death of paul and brian. if you disagree with that, fine....but most here would have to agree that the spectre of a close one's DEATH hangs over many of their 1967 works. so what could possibly have made them seek to allude to DEATH OF SOMEONE CLOSE in their creative output?? keep in mind the fab four had a fondness for planting their sentiments in song...a good example being the "tit tit tit" backing vocals in GIRL. it wasn't like lennon could deny them being into inserting little sound bytes when and where they wanted. i'd love to hear an MP3 of this latest find....better still would be a collection of them.

I wonder why even towards the end, John never admitted to the meaning of back tracked lyrics on any songs?? Even as late as 1980, in the Playboy Interview, he still maintains he said 'cranberry sauce' instead of ' I buried Paul', and gives nothing at all away.. I love that interview, John is so together, honest and knowing, he comes across as such a genuinely warm individual, even with that odious old bag sitting next to him, inflicting her boring two penneth worth into the interview at every opportunity, stating how John had to become a 'house husband' to sort out his screwed up head.. jeez..the man must have had the patience of a saint.. For anyone that hasn't seen the interview, here's a link, apologies if it's been posted umpteen times b4.. www.johnlennon.it/lennon_playboy_interview.htPaul and John; God bless your beautiful hearts..
