I was doing a spoof article about backmasking in the Beatles songs (ya know, listening to them backwards and just making shit up - some of them are pretty funny, but that's not important now...) Well, I started listening to the Pepper album backwards and Getting Better came up and like most of them I couldn't really make out much without it sounding like Eastern gibberish, then something came out of the murky depths of that and smacked me in the head: www.linktgf.com/misc/Dead%20News.mp3it might be that my mind is still in "spoof mode" but here's my rediculous take on that: Someone is saying "Goddamn you exited! Dead News! "AHHAHH AHHAHH" (like the sound of an ambulance) Any idea?

On first glance I am not convinced. I read the first post and heard the piece, "hmmm maybe but probably not"
I have always thought that back masking is when it is clearly audible as a proper phrase ie. "Number Nine" or the end of "I'm so Tired" IMO anything else is conjecture, yet when I listened to the second one....... WOW, I was struck by the clarity and comprehensibility of that particular uttered passage!
Great spot, great clue, look forward to hearing more, it just shows there may (or may not of course) still be useful, nay, important stuff still out there if anyone's prepared to take the time.
