Another version of James Paul. What does anyone think? What leaps out of these three pictures is the shape of the face and head, and the eyebrows. A very handsome dude---in the first two, hair length is very moderate. The way the eyebrows angle down toward the eyes; the wide, wide cheekbones, the appreciable tapering down to a square, set jaw; the almost "Romulan" look.....And, an incinclusive call, perhaps, cause the floor isn't flush with the photo, but the first two seem to make Harroson the taller, and Paul seems to have a slight, slender build (in 1964); also his head sure seems smaller than either George's or John's. Also, Paul's ears are showing. Forehead does not seem to be tall. The nose is a revelation, as well. Not as prominent an affair as it seems occasionally in some photos...... early AND later....... Now, in this next picture below, IMO, we have a very good picture of Bill. And we can see how Paul's features, are almost perfectly recreated, and made to appear, on a face of a totally different shape, and proportion, at least, as my eyes see it. This looks very much like Paul--if you focus on the features. Try not to for a moment. Focus instead on the head and cranium. Even allowing for the effects of lens type and how close the subjects face is to the camera; one still notices a remarkable difference in overall proportion. Anyway, here 'tis:

looks like different photos combined to me because of the shadow on the nose, the chin. the smile line on the left side of the nose isnt complete, it stops short of a smile. Adams apple. more then one photo

I see. I see what you refer to. Well, it's mystyfying. The eye spacing, as SunKing at one time would have said (remember the phrase, "poor eye distance", how can anyone have "poor eye distance?" If the eye distance is "poor", then, honey, lean closer to the book, or get a magnifying glass, yuk-yuk-yuk....) As I was saying, the eye spacing is kind of wide in that bottom photo, too. And, the eyelid lines seem to be more like Paul's, I guess, not as much like Bill's, or the possible third guy. Maybe there was some cloning goin' on. I'm stumped. Maybe a third person somewhere..........NO, not Keith Allyson..... well, I don't think so...but.......oh at this point, any guess is fair enough. Perhaps if Sun King had just said; "comparatively closer eye placement", and "prosthetic ear augmentation" as opposed to "rubble ears", which must have been a typo, we'd all still be on one happy forum today. But no. We have a collection of forums. 60IF was the original settlement; now there are many suburbs. We need rapid web transit to get around from forum to froum. Ah, when will Rapid Rail appear on the information superhighway? ;D

I have to agree with Jilli, Perplexed. I would've taken that last photo to have BEEN Paul, if you didn't point out the closer resemblance to Bill. The only answer I can think of is that it's a combination of more than one photo. AHHHH, the wonders of CGI & modern technology ! I love that first photo. It illustrates perfectly what I've been saying ( & Chris before me ). Paul WAS shorter than George & John. He had a more slender build than Bill ever did. Even when Bill was skinny, he was built bigger because of his bone structure ! I have posted many other photos trying to prove Paul's true height. I'm so happy to see that someone else has posted one ! ;D I agree with you completely concerning the division of the PID Forums. I know that I would be a happier person if everyone just "buried the hatchet " & rejoined forces. Strength in numbers & all that. Not to mention, " Divide & conquer ! "

Ah, when will Rapid Rail appear on the information superhighway? ;D Disney World has a monorail that goes around in a continuous circle.. Maybe we can get the name of the contractor. The changes weren't so bad, the PID/PWR GNP graph shows a healthy growth I think, so it all ended up ok in the end. Hey that black and white currier font place is awesome! No more rancor, yes I agree..

Indeed. And, yes, you were right, there are few fonts that create a "no frills" ambiance better than "courier." "Revolution" is truly "warehouse shopping." Below wholesale. Rapidly growing inventory, great buys, and an unpretentious labeling and presentation. Perfect store hours.... Makes K-Mart look like Bloomingdale's. I love it. Don't have to dress up to go...........

It's a peculiar looking Paul. Right off I thought it was a picture of him taken with the wrong lens. The more I look at it, the more it seems like it might be a blended photo. It's like Paul's features stuck onto a Faul Mr. Potato Head.

Exactly, gracemer. BUT - his forehead is small like Paul's was. So, whatever TPTB were trying to do failed. We can immediately see that it's a cross between James Paul & billy McCartney. Haha

That is really fab, gear!!! I sure wish I could find some of the old Datebook magazines. Guess I'll have to scrounge around the second hand stores. Would love to find the old vintage photos.

This magazine was listed for $800.oo, I think, then suddenly dissapeared off the site. At least I have this: which shows us James Paul. Ebay offers many copies of this version instead: which has billy. Again, here is walrus man Paul, with the strange nose bend I have noticed in a couple of rare videos: But, the piece de resistance, from a poster I have NEVER seen here or anywhere else, from the disasterous, ill-fated Phillipines debacle (hosted by the supreme bitch of the world, Imelda Marcos), from the Manilla concert: Looking very much like the butcher cover photo from a month earlier. This may be the LAST photo of James Paul that was circulated.
