Hey, in those high res pics, i would almost have to say Phil/Bill/the bull etc... etc..... is actually naturally better looking than the actual Paul, just my personal opinion. : )

that black & white picture is awfully "distorted" it's almost as if it is 2 dimentional or dissappearing maybe... ?

I have to say that although I know what the crack is with PID/PWR, you couldn't have picked any worse photos to compare the two with.
First of all the aspect of each is wrong and second, that is one of the best likenesses based on facial features. I'm PID as you know but I can see major flaws with this particular photo comparison that the PIA lot would/will eat up...

Hello everyone. This breaks my heart, but I have to admit the photo comparisons greatly favor the idea that Paul was replaced. Someone suggested that the aspect ratios were wrong with the photos at the top of the thread. So I have attempted to test that idea. I've lined up the center of the eyes and cross-faded between photos. In version one, below, the aspect ratios are left unchanged:  Obviously these two heads do not match. In version 2, below, I've stretched Paul so that the length of his head matches Faul. I had to guess a little, because the top of Faul's head is cropped out.  I am unable to get stretched Paul to match Faul. The eyes are still perfectly aligned, but nothing else matches. Not the nose, not the chin, not the ears, not the hair patterns, nothing. Finally, in version 3 below, I have squished Faul attempting to match Paul.  Again the eyes are perfectly aligned, but it doesn't match up any better than the other version. Conclusion: These are two different people, irrespective of whether or not either or both of the source photos had been stretched. |

Thanks. I'm really having a hard time with this. I'm in my 40's. I've known about the PID thing since I was a kid. I remember when that LIFE magazine article came out, and they "found" Paul, and everything was alright. That was enough to convince me, for all this time.
All the song lyric stuff, and the album cover stuff is interesting, but the Beatles were all about creativity. Who's to say what they "really" meant by anything?
But back then, we didn't have Photoshop. Photo analysis is a different matter altogether. No question it's a different guy. Knowing that, and then revisiting all the album cover clues, it all makes perfect sense. They planted all the seeds of our puzzlement.
And here we are still puzzling, 40 years later.

 Cecile Pearl Witherington was in Liverpool on 1941 with the cover name of Mary.  When Paul found himself in time of troubles she came back to him.   Paul Mc Cartney was replaced by his mother fixing copyright problems. |

Surely you can't be implying with a little make up and a wig she becomes singer/musician Sir Faul entertaining thousands around the world with highly produced Beatles covers? Then a quick switch and it's back to a life of steradent, bingo and tartan shopping trolley's!
