I have wanted a place to ask this question, hopefully someone here might know.
When news of Eva Gabor's death came out a few years ago, there was very little information about the cause.
Does anyone have more information on this? A seemingly healthy woman who was still very active in the public eye, and openly the girlfriend of Merv Griffin -- suddenly dies and it has never been explained to us?

I don't have the information you're looking for, but I still remember how it broke my heart when I heard the news.

I often wondered whether she really had any "sisters" or whether they were all actually one and the same person.

I though merv was gay? you know, gharryson, I had never heard that before, and just heard it twice (from your post and from my husband) in the past few hours...in totally unrelated conversations!!

The information I have is that Eva...the "good" sister who starred in Green Acres...died as a result of respiratory failure due to food poinsoning. Perhaps that is the official explanation from medical sources. Born in 1919 and lived to 1995, married and divorced five times, perhaps she was the girlfriend of Merv, openly or otherwise. I watched Griffin's progress over the years and never saw a hint of interest in anything but money...but who knows?

The funniest thing about the Gabor sisters...yes, there were actually three...was that George Sanders was married to two of them, Zsa Zsa and Magda. Guess he couldn't get enough of them. Strange...he did commit suicide.

Strange...he did commit suicide. With everything else we are starting to find out or are finally starting to question, it does make you wonder, doesn't it. Maybe she was foolish enough to write him in her will or provide some type of monetary gain when she died. If he got greedy, maybe he couldn't wait for nature to take its course. Unexplained death always makes thinking people start to say "mmm" and to start questioning.

I don't know about that one...even though you are right about these "things" we keep discovering. You gotta know that Griffin was and is HUGE in tv money, so much so that he has his own terminal at Santa Monica Airport. I mean, Don Trump is jealous. Anyway...you could be right, it wouldn't really surprise me...inasmuch as Eva never had anything other than caviar and artichoke hearts with her champagne. I mean I don't feature her whuppin' down a Pink's hot dog or a Fatburger!
