Brian Jones, founder of the Rolling Stones, died under very mysterious circumstances on the evening of July 2/3rd 1969 at his home, Cotchford Farm, Sussex, England. The inquest into his death was extremely brief, and his death was ruled to be "death by misadventure" at the time. However, since then, there is reason to believe Brian Jones may have been murdered. Sign this petition to have the police reopen the investigation into his death so the truth will be known for Brian's sake--contrary to popular myth. LINK

When I tried to sign the petition, it wouldn't show me what I was supposed to write on each line. Is this happening to anyone else ?

Maybe it deserves an entire topic but I think there is something really wicked about the Stones, they are one of the "classic rockgroups"that I in a way can't stand. They have some great songs but overall they creep me out. A friend took me to see them live in 99 and in a weird way I can't remember that much about it, except that I didn't like it. But has anyone already noticed their weird LP title from 67:
"At Their Satanic Majesties Request"
To me that rings ALL possible bells

Isn't it strange that Mick Jagger is also a sir nowadays, it seems that all the usual suspects get their regards from thë crown:Elton,Faul,Dave Gilmour,Brian May (see the sudden facechange in the "I want it all" video.)
Here's a list of those in favour. And another avenue to research is Ozzy's visit to the White House.

Sir Elton has been around for a while, I was pretty surprised the first time I saw this. From a bootleg DVD of footage from 1967, and this was news coverage of the Apple boutique opening, where "everyone who is anyone" was in attendance, as the announcer said... I'm assuming this is him, sure had the look going early on... http://*banned link*/Shoebox/Elton/Elton1.jpg[/img] http://*banned link*/Shoebox/Elton/Elton2.jpg[/img] http://*banned link*/Shoebox/Elton/Elton4.jpg[/img] http://*banned link*/Shoebox/Elton/Elton5.jpg[/img]

In that harmonious singtogether part of the I want it all video you see a thin and thick version of Brian's face, if you look for it it is very clear.
All Love Jan
"We've got a chance and we'll take it; We may win or we may lose; We may even have to cut and run for it. Well, it won't be the first time I've run And it won't be the first time I've been caught. It's the game that matters.
Brother, I am proud to know you. This is one of the greatest moments I have ever experienced. I think I sense the situation when we can all esteem it, and honour, To breathe the rather inferior atmosphere in this station Here along with our little friend.
I guess we should all go home and treasure the memory of his face As the whitest thing in our museum of recollection. And, perhaps, this good woman will also go home And wash the face of our little brother here.
I'm inspired with a new faith in mankind. Ladies and gentlemen, I wish to present to you A sure enough saint only one a halo to be transferred."Wings, 1979

Someone wrote to me and said that the pics I posted reflected a too flashy and skinny guy to be the Elton of 1967. (actually he wasn't "Elton" yet at that point) So, no idea who that is..

Valis, in the I Want It All video, are you talking about that black and white scene where Brian is in close up? Yes it looks like his face gets thicker, or the camera gets in closer. I guess I can make a still of both faces, and check proportionality.
I should ask you though, what are you saying exactly, that he was replaced, or are they just making a statement of some kind?

Yes in that black and white part I am not sure if he was replaced or that they are playing a game on us, I have the feeling that some bands are kind of re-enacting the replacement story in their own fictions. If you study Tommy or The Wall from a P.I.D. point of view then it is very close to the story we are trying to unravel. I don't know so much about Queen's background and photos to really tell it like with Paul. And I also think the big hair is a great camouflage, you and I wouldn't easily recognize Brian May if he would cut his hair. There is a lot of weird stuff going on in especially the last 2 albums The Miracle and Innuendo, and also their videos for this period. There is something very similar between David Gilmour and Brian May, they both took over the shop (David in 85,Brian in 91),and sold out big time in my opinion. And they both give me a very similar bad vibe www.brianmay.com also doesn't feel OK. Have you ever seen his logo with a big star on it that has the point downwards, that's just as funny as all those royalty with all their dragon symbols. And to stay on topic Mick also feels strange, it's like the difference between businessmen and artists. All Love Jan

You're correct about the hair, although my opinion is that it makes him look well preserved, like he never ages. I never thought about it before, but the replacement angle is stated obviously in the "Miracle" video isn't it..All in good fun, young lookalikes replace the members of the band, and the Freddy lookalike takes on the look from early to late eras. Interesting!
Wilson Bryan Key has a few pages in one of his books about Tommy, I will start a new thread with scans from it. He actually did a study on the meaning of Tommy by getting a group of adults together and forming a concensus on what the meaning of the story was. Also he discussed what he belived the meaning of Hey Jude was. I'll "refrain" from saying more for now, but I bet it will be interesting..
Brian May hasn't done much since '91 really, without Freddy it was over, no question. The Beatles still had John, and George and Ringo of course, but the creative process in Queen was strongly slanted in favor of Freddy, you can see that in the studio recording of "One Vision".

Well Brian has released a solo album in 93, Back to The Light (was he in the Dark?), with the big hitsingle "Too Much Love Will Kill You", not exactly my philosophy.
It's also been in the news this week that Queen will go on tour again next year with Paul Rodgers from The Free singing
The Miracle sleeve: 4 persons, 5 eyes
But I Siriusly think Queen deserve a thread of their own and get this thread back to the Brian of which we are (reasonably) sure that he is dead.
I really don't know much about the Stones, so could anyone give any insight in their wierd flirtations with dark practices in the late 60's
All Love Jan

Have you seen my Speculation: Was Brian Jones replaced? thread? If true, it may be a case of bringing justice on two levels: 1. His covered up death in late 66 - was Brian actually in the car in which Tara Browne was reportedly killed since Brian's ex-girlfriend was definitely in it after all so it would make sense that Brian could have been there - and was Brian it as well as or instead of Tara - if the latter is true then what really happened to Tara? 2. Brian's replacement's murder (the "official" death of whihc the petition is targetting) for perhaps talking too much.
