I found this on youtube and look at a comment someone left. I never really watched them that much to form a option.
If she was replaced it follows my theory that the replacment person is a vegetarian. She is heavily involved in PETA. The person below says the later Kate has a better voice, sound familier?

if you watch this vid then watch something more recent like one of the tv
performances of roam, it's like there was two kate piersons. this one- a somber
and kind of stiff looking musician, and the other one- a crazed ice-dancer with
huge perfect white teeth. it's like two different people. the one from around
cosmic thing time never ever stops smiling and has one of the most incredible
voices ever. and the one here is SO cool and quirky.
