Has our SunKing become imprisoned there, too? He has disappeared it would seem The Man in the Iron Mask is set in 17th century France and features the Four Musketeers - "one for all and all for one". During the reign of King Louis XIV, the so-called "Sun King" has decreed himself the center of the universe - even when his subjects are starving in the streets. Louis' captain of the guards, the most famous of the musketeers, D'Artagnan must be on extra guard if he hopes to counter any attempts of assasination on the king due to the attitude of Louis. However to complicate the plot, Aramis (one of the four musketeers) who's now a priest is haunted by his secret knowledge that the king has a twin, Philippe languishing in the Bastille, his head locked inside an iron mask that conceals his regal visage. So the three aging, but still useful musketeers embark on a mission to free the kings twin from his prison, whisk him away and teach him the rudiments of regal life in a bid to switch him with the king, all for the good of France. This causes a conflict, one which will pitch the three musketeers up against their close friend D'Artagnan. Once this fast-and-furious sequence kicks into high gear, "The Man in the Iron Mask" builds enough momentum to coast through its climactic revelations. Translation: "MASQUE DE FER" = "THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK" Here comes the Sun King that ... still rules here

In MMT, after the introduction, Ringo and Aunt Jessie are seen arguing and walking up a hill on their way to the bus. We then fade back to Ringo's purchase of the tickets from John in a walrus moustache. On the counter are magazines, one of which has a blonde woman on it. Hi Ringo! Hi John! Ringo and Aunt Jessy then board the bus and are greeted by Jolly Jimmy and Miss Winters. Good Morning! In the strip version are some interesting things, one of which is a chain or rope tied to the bus axle with the other end tied to the wrist of the inverted man that Faul is sitting in font of. Also the middle of the panel is uncolored and Ringo's caption balloon is empty. Charles DeGaulle is seen stretched out on the floor and a chap with rather prominent ears is sitting next to the inverted man. Who could they be? 1966.proboards40.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1106387892Jolly Jimmy seems to be referee/intermediary... What's the Red L mean anyway? Is DeGaulle green with envy? Was Paul McCartney imprisoned for a short time in 1965/66? Did the Crown of England secure his release from French Prison? If so, what might have been the Bail? That picture was from this photo session. A Somnambulant (sleepwalking) Adventure, where the idea of replacements was explored using symbols, the language of dreams. Is this a picture of a happy young man? Was he awaiting trial and possible conviction on charges of murder? Was he inadvertently responsible for the death of Sylvie Vartan? Was he in line for a forty year sentence if convicted? Was he ...Not Guilty? Did Johnny Hallyday and Marisa/Fylvie lure Paul into France where he could be kidnapped and held for ransom? Did Brian Epstein courier the ransom to the kidnappers ? Was Paul drugged, beaten and left to wander in Nice after the ransom was paid? Was it all a ploy to have Paul shot down like a fugitive in his plane after running like hell, off the north coast of France along with Brian Epstein? Was it all covered up to protect those with too much to lose if the true facts were to be publicly revealed? Who or what has such sweeping powers?

The red "L" is a learner plate that you stick on your car if you are learning to drive in the UK.

Hehe , thanks RRD. That's exactly the line I saw before I matched them up. The key, I suppose. The lines of latitude were incorporated into features of the drawing as well as the border lines. Of course, YMMV.

It would be extrememely helpful if folks posting non-Beatle lyrics would post at the very least the artist and album the lyrics were from. That said, the reference to the "man in black" brings to mind Sylvie's song about the fights JPM and Johnny H had over her: occultbeatles.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29

There are dozens of subliminals on the "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" album. If anyone knows where to find a listing of them, as BeatlePaul did with "Dark Side of the Moon", it would be very enlightening. Please post if anyone finds them. Thank you. That's the right path, byrdsmaniac, since George Martin "told" through his best disciple, Alan Parsons and so through The Pink Floyd too.

BTW ... ..about the lyrics "Sitting in an english garden, waiting for the sun..."That's a frame from the beginning of Magical Mystery Tour (very very probably it's about France -look at the roofs-) This is an "English Garden" in Munich (München), Germany See: personal.udri.udayton.edu/klosterm/amunich.htmThe "English Garden" is just a way of cutting grass....

I never really liked the Floyd without Roger, Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell are catching dust on my shelf, eventhough I admit there are some nice sounds on it. There was a mystery surrounding The Division Bell though. Just before that tour a mysterious figure named "Publius" appeared on the PF newsgroups, who gave away clues and riddles to the fans. Reminding me of Apollo's MO here. A lot of fans thought he was a joker until he announced that he would give a sign during a specific upcoming concert...and as a miracle the name Publius Enigma was broadcast in the lightshow that evening. It's a bit long since I read it but there's some good sites documenting this mystery at www.angelfire.com/co/1x137/enigma.htmlfolk.uio.no/ericsp/report1.htmI'm also very intrigued by the Kubrick-Floyd connection which also has a site about it at www.angelfire.com/co/1x137/home.htmlAs you can tell I love mysteries, but especially unravelling them, because that's what they are for. Paul did not kill Sylvie, Johnny H. did. He was a big man with a violent temper. I have seen a photo where Sylvie is sleeping on a chaise lounge outside. Johnny is standing near her. You can see that Sylvie is sporting a "black eye".

What about someone LIE-ing very still, as in calmly telling lies without ever giving anything away, and people falling for the lies, believing everything they are told?

"Childhood's End"
by Pink Floyd off 'Obscured By Clouds'
You shout in your sleep. Perhaps the price is just too steep. Is your conscience at rest If once put to the test? You awake with a start To just the beating of your heart. Just one man beneath the sky, Just two ears, just two eyes.
You set sail across the sea Of long past thoughts and memories. Childhood's end, your fantasies Merge with harsh realities. And then as the sail is hoist, You find your eyes are growing moist. All the fears never voiced Say you have to make your final choice
Who are you and who am I To say we know the reason why? Some are born; some men die Beneath one infinite sky. There'll be war, there'll be peace. But everything one day will cease. All the iron turned to rust; All the proud men turned to dust. And so all things, time will mend. So this song will end
