Ummm, well, unrepentant, let me point this out, if I may.

The Super Bowl is a professional, world class, high-rung contract worth millions and millions to many parties. It is a giant business deal. billy will certainly do a thouroughly prodessional, top ring show as per contract and public expectation.

It seems to me, that this venue is not the proper forum for that kind of personal indulgence. This sounds odd, to be sure; but he's obliged to fulfill it by providing a great show, which he will do once again. Really, as far as a "tell all confessional" between numbers,
it really wouldn't be appropriate. Because, that isn't why millions will be gathered on TV; with thousands in the stands. That isn't why Paul McCartney was engaged to perform.

Please don't take me wrong! I say this is in a kind spirit.

I plan to tape it and watch it when I get home from work.
In spite of all the endless speculations the 200 of us make here, ad infinitum, daily, I am only interested in seeing one thing during the half-time show, and that is a really solid set by McCartney and his other capable bandsmen.

Would Paul have been pleased with anything less?

DeZombificator, We know now that the Sept 13th MM awards date was the date of the MM magazine where the awards were mentioned as being held the previous weekend. This would probably mean 9th or 10th September but may even be the weekend prior to that if the magazine was in the habit of being on the street days before actual date on the magazine as many magazines tend to be.

I just posted what I felt, and sensed that night, and little insights that came out of nowhere suddenly. But, doesn'y mean they are correct. "Blue Jay Way" is, I feel this, from the words, and the sad, eerie music, something like a surrealistic painting. The official reason? Derek taylor got lost in 1967. Well, maybe he did---but, I FEEL there is a much deeper level to it. You don't put that much creepy pathos into a song about your ex-business colleague not showing up to a routine social visit.

That song is about people losing themselves. Not people losing their "way."
It's absurd to think the deep moodiness of the song is about somebody who 's so crappy at following directions, that you wait up all night and they never show. How absurd.

If you ask me to believe that Harrison had regreat and deeply lamented how Derek Taylor drove in circles along Mulholland Drive ONE night in August 1967 and just never made it--preposterous. Wy not a verse about how they gave up, went to the IHOP on La Cienega Blvs in West Hollywood, and had the Silver Dollar breakfast before getting sleepy, and checking into the Tropicana Hotel and crashing in that fleabag dive.
Lament and deep regret. Indeed.

It is a song of mourning. Or, George has no sense of proportion. The tone of the song is so heavy and languid---well I run on and on..

But, here's the thing. Maybe Paul lived for a couple of months AFTER a car wreck IN LA. Went back to England, and unexpectedly passed away one night from an undiagnosed busted blood vessel? I want to study up on the prognosis of a head injury; the possibility of a head trauma causing a near rupture to a cerebral artery---where the victim
suffers seemingly less symptoms for a period of time, then suddenly dies, or has a episode of dysfuncional brain processes, and then death. A compromised artery, not caught found in exploration and tests after a car wreck or something similar. Two months pass, suddenly, an "out of touch" episode, and the person succombs when the damaged artery suddenly bursts........like, Paul had a situation they were watching, that went unexpectedly fatal.......

I was aware of the date question of the MM awards Paul Bearer, thus my burr under the saddle comment.

Officially though, the announcements with Paul and Ringo being the Corporation tee shirts were on 9/13. That is not contested. If the awards were held earlier which is quite possible, even probable , then the actual date of the awards ceremony doesn't factor into the chronology of the TKIN! document, and therefore doesn't really matter (as I see it )

Kicking POE around I think means that John knew Poe was a great cipherist and embedded ciphers, aka clues, within his written work. Poe also worked in this "trade" to some extent for "someone" ( we don't really know much - but he did change his name and assume an alter identity)

By the way , if L.A. is London Airport (which I had considered but wasn't sure how to relate to rest of the story ) then that would mean George ( and the rest ) wanted to get a flight to France to meet with Brian and Paul where they were ( Blue Jay Way ) but were delayed by the fog.

George tells Paul and Brian 'where to go',ask a policeman ( Paul's car crash?in France?) but they don't make it over ( the Channel )

After carefully considering BeatlePaul's comment, I believe the reference is most likely to London City airport.
Say you've got a ticket all ready you're at the airport, they are fogged in they say we're not sure how long could be this could be that you call another airport they can't really help because flying isn't as convenient as it is now so they are only flying tommorrow so you're probably better off waiting and getting that for sure flight than running around like a fool losing time by trying to gain time. So what we're delayed they'll still be there right? right? Zoom. Damnit theyre not here !Where are they!What happened?! Yeh dont worry DeZ, im not in the habit of debunking theories but i just don't buy this particular theory, i think with the london airport/liverpool airport (which is liverpool international airport LPL officially) theory you're making something fit, clutching at straws. I still reckon LA would simply stand for los angeles.

Like I say, confusion bad, clarity good.

This is how I interpret this underlined bit...

We (George and Ringo) flew (from england, either London or Liverpool) to Paris (Blue Jay Way) but Paul (and Brian ) was no longer in the place where he was seen before ( near or in Paris ). As more days passed our apprehension grew.( thus the brooding,oppressive musical statement of Blue Jay Way)

Los Angeles/California is not mentioned or hinted at in TKIN! or the song clues left by the remaining Beatles in any other song with the exception of Get Back!( A song about the KKKillers).

George HAD to be cryptic, Plastic Paul. To state plainly the truth would have got him KILLED . He wanted to communicate the actual truth but ENCODED. We have to do a bit of work , ie untwisting the twists before we can understand the whole picture. There's going to be some mistakes made......
