Artist : Alphaville Song : Forever YoungLyrics: Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies Hoping for the best but expecting the worst Are you going to drop the bomb or not? Let us die young or let us live forever We don't have the power but we never say never Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip The music's for the sad men Can you imagine when this race is won Turn our golden faces into the sun Praising our leaders we're getting in tune The music's played by the mad men Forever young, I want to be forever young do you really want to live forever, forever and ever Forever young, I want to be forever young do you really want to live forever? Forever young Some are like water, some are like the heat Some are a melody and some are the beat Sooner or later they all will be gone why don't they stay young It's so hard to get old without a cause I don't want to perish like a fleeing horse Youth's like diamonds in the sun and diamonds are forever So many adventures couldn't happen today So many songs we forgot to play So many dreams swinging out of the blue We let them come true Forever young, I want to be forever young do you really want to live forever, forever and ever Forever young, I want to be forever young do you really want to live forever, forever and ever Forever young, I want to be forever young do you really want to live forever? Artist: Alan Parsons Project Song: Silence & I
Lyrics: (lead vocal - Eric Woolfson)
If I cried out loud Over sorrows I've known And the secrets I've heard It would ease my mind Someone sharing the load But I won't breathe a word
We're two of a kind Silence and i We need a chance to talk things over Two of a kind Silence and i We'll find a way to work it out
While the children laughed I was always afraid Of the smile of the clown So I close my eyes Till I can't see the light And I hide from the sound
We're two of a kind Silence and i We need a chance to talk things over Two of a kind Silence and i We'll find a way to work it out
I can hear the cry Of the leaf on a tree As it falls to the ground I can hear the call Of an echoing voice And there's no one around
We're two of a kind Silence and i We need a chance to talk things over Two of a kind Silence and i We'll find a way to work it out

OK, I understand, deZom, BeatlePaul, TotalInfo, and byrdsmaniac. It makes me a little depressed. (No violins, no kleenex; I'll be fine) It makes one think. Is it all really that far out? Are the PTB that entertained by idolatrous adherence to mythological rituals? I need to go sit under a tree somewhere and meditate.

Straight Shooter Gemini 12 Launched 11,11,1966 btw 3917 = 1973 (Year the songs were written) Album released 1975 By Mick Ralphs? I know one reason given for the break up of Mott the Hoople was that Ian Hunter didn't have the vocal range to sing Mick's songs. Of course IH and the others go back a ways..

It seems to me that a lot of the popular UK acts from the late 60's early 70's were quite aware of the change and it was a source of great inspiration.
Rocket Man Music by Elton John Lyrics by Bernie Taupin Album Honky Chateau
She packed my bags last night pre-flight Zero hour nine a.m. And I’m gonna be high as a kite by then I miss the earth so much I miss my wife It’s lonely out in space On such a timeless flight
And I think it’s gonna be a long long time Till touch down brings me round again to find I’m not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I’m a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids In fact it’s cold as hell And there’s no one there to raise them if you did And all this science I don’t understand It’s just my job five days a week A rocket man, a rocket man
And I think it’s gonna be a long long time...
hmmm Venus and Mars....
Where is Superman now?

We have now entered the realm of science fiction. Can someone tell me WHY this train of thought is ok, but anything in the realm of the supernatural is evil They saved his brain He's back in a new body Well, well... Seems to me that James Paul has been relegated to the ranks of the saints. Sis

There is the last clue for you all... James Paul McCartney was sent hybernated in the space by Gemini 12 launched 11 November 1966. Hibernation implies that he was somehow alive ( which I highly doubt ) Perhaps preserved then ( somewhat like a mummy ) in the hopes of ....resurrection as our technology progresses or more likely a highly symbolic and ritual act to commemorate the passing of an amazing talent... My my, hey hey Rock and roll is here to stay It's better to burn out Than to fade away My my, hey hey. Out of the blue and into the black They give you this, but you pay for that And once you're gone, you can never come back When you're out of the blue and into the black. The king is gone but he's not forgotten This is the story of a Johnny Rotten It's better to burn out than it is to rust The king is gone but he's not forgotten. Hey hey, my my Rock and roll can never die There's more to the picture Than meets the eye. Hey hey, my my. Science fiction or fact ? Thanks Neil.

and now the other half ( into the black)
Hey hey, my my Rock and roll can never die There's more to the picture Than meets the eye Hey hey, my my
Out of the blue and into the black You pay for this, but they give you that And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black
The king is gone but he's not forgotten Is this the story of Johnny Rotten? It's better to burn out 'cause rust never sleeps The king is gone but he's not forgotten
Hey hey, my my Rock and roll can never die There's more to the picture Than meets the eye
and more from Neil...
After the Gold Rush
Well, I dreamed I saw the knights in armor coming Saying something about a queen There were peasants singing and drummers drumming And the archer split the tree There was a fanfare blowing to the sun That was floating on the breeze Look at Mother Nature on the run in the nineteen seventies Look at Mother Nature on the run in the nineteen seventies
I was lying in a burned out basement with the full moon in my eyes I was hoping for replacement when the sun burst thru the sky There was a band playing in my head and I felt like getting high I was thinking about what a friend had said I was hoping it was a lie Thinking about what a friend had said I was hoping it was a lie
Well, I dreamed I saw the silver space ships flying In the yellow haze of the sun There were children crying and colors flying All around the chosen ones All in a dream, all in a dream The loading had begun They were flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home in the sun Flying Mother Nature's silver seed to a new home
Still Science Fiction?

I have been a science fiction fan my whole life. I still think it's all just science fiction. This stanza sounds like it might be about Paul. From After the Gold Rush:
I was lying in a burned out basement with the full moon in my eyes I was hoping for replacement when the sun burst thru the sky There was a band playing in my head and I felt like getting high I was thinking about what a friend had said I was hoping it was a lie Thinking about what a friend had said I was hoping it was a lie.
Other than that, I just don't see the connection. I don't believe that Paul's body was sent into space. I still believe that Paul's body was relegated to the bottom of the ocean. Just as is intimated in Octopus's Garden & Glass Onion. John stated LISTEN TO ME for a reason !
However, I am always grateful for everyone sharing their theories. We'll never solve this mystery if we don't explore EVERY possibility. This includes the realms of both science-fiction & the supernatural. After all, we know for a fact that Miss Yoko was deeply involved in the black arts !

Actually Paul was sent to the future!!! Check out these lyrics from the Stones...
2000 Man
Well, my name is a number, a piece of plastic film And I grow many flowers in my little window sill Don't you know I'm the two thousand man? And my kids they just don't understand me at all
Though my wife still respects me, I really misuse here I am acting in her affair with a random computer Don't you know I'm the two thousand man? And my kids they just don't understand me at all
Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son
Oh, daddy is your brain still flashing Like it did when you were young? Or did you come down crashing Seeing all the things you done?
Oh it's a big put on! Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son
Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son
Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son
Oh, daddy, be proud of your palace Oh, mummy, be proud of your son
And you know who's the two thousand man And your kids they just won't understand you at all
or...
2000 Light Years From Home (Jagger/Richards)
Sun turnin' 'round with graceful motion We're setting off with soft explosion Bound for a star with fiery oceans It's so very lonely, you're a hundred light years from home
Freezing red deserts turn to dark Energy here in every part It's so very lonely, you're six hundred light years from home
It's so very lonely, you're a thousand light years from home It's so very lonely, you're a thousand light years from home
Bell flight fourteen you now can land See you on Aldebaran. Safe on the green desert sand It's so very lonely, you're two thousand light years from home It's so very lonely, you're two thousand light years from home

Johnny must be pulling his hair out as he turns in his grave! He said, in The Glass Onion, "Listen to me!" He was telling you what happened. Yes, he also put hints and clues in other songs. Remember he had to sneak the clues in. I don't deny that some other performers who knew what really happened may have made some statement in their songs or the composers did. Yes, Johnny helped David Bowie with his songs, like the ones that actually made sense!
However, JPM was NOT frozen and sent off into space. The man sadly is DEAD!
He was put in a box (dovetail joint) and sent to The Octopus' Garden in the sea. The perpetrators knew the ocean would keep their secret and apparently it did.
I am open to any clues or ideas to find out the truth, but we sometimes go overboard in looking for lyric clues.

ELVIS AND PAUL McCARTNEY HAVE BEEN HEARD SINGING TOGETHER FROM THE SPACE SHUTTLE My mother was of the sky My father was of the earth But I am of the universeThat was Paul's situation. Across The UniverseWords are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass They slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting thorough my open mind Possessing and caressing me
Jai guru deva om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box they tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Jai guru deva om Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world Nothing's gonna change my world
Sounds of laughter shades of life are ringing through my open ears inciting and inviting me Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns It calls me on and on across the universe

Well my 2 cents, this may make sense from the first person JPM point of view.
His mother was indeed of the sky, (ascended to a higher plane) and his father was of the earth. (still alive at the time)

Across the Universe and Yer Blues were about Paul, of course, they were. Johnny was so torn up over Paul's death that he laid out his feelings the only way he knew how........writing and singing songs.
However, Johnny's mom and dad, as well as the aunt and uncle that raised him were also of the sky.
With Paul dead, Johnny many times wished he would or could die, but instead left clues all over the place....clues to tell the truth and clues about how he was feeling.

Just for the record, I'd bet we'd find that Paul's mother was an air sign (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini) Paul's father was an Earth sign (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo) But Paul is of the Universe as follows: In Mark Twain's story "Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven", Captain Stormfield is trying to tell St. Peter what planet he's from, and says, "I'm from the one that the Savior came from" (or words to that effect) and St. Peter replies, "He's been to all of them." Paul is of the Universe in much the same way. (No one here has to believe that. Just my opinion, but look at the introduction Faul got at the Super Bowl: "And now, building bridges ACROSS TIME and around the world, Paul McCartney." Sounds like one thing; means another!) As a matter of fact Paul's father was born July 7, 1902 (his birthday is the same as Ringo's). Paul's mother was born Sept 29, 1909. Mary Patricia McCartney died 10/31/58.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Joan was quizzical, studied metaphysical Science in the home Late nights all alone with a test-tube Ohh-oh-oh-oh... Maxwell Edison majoring in medicine Calls her on the phone "Can I take you out to the pictures Joa-oa-oa-oan?" But as she's getting ready to go A knock comes on the door...
Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon her head Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that she was dead
Back in school again Maxwell plays the fool again Teacher gets annoyed Wishing to avoid an unpleasant sce-e-e-ene She tells Max to stay when the class has gone away So he waits behind Writing 50 times "I must not be so-o-o-oo..." But when she turns her back on the boy He creeps up from behind
Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon her head Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that she was dead
B.C. Thirty-One said "we caught a dirty one" Maxwell stands alone Painting testimonial pictures ohh-oh-oh-oh Rose and Valerie screaming from the gallery Say he must go free (Maxwell must go free) The judge does not agree and he tells them so-o-o-oo But as the words are leaving his lips A noise comes from behind
Bang, bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Came down upon his head Bang, Bang, Maxwell's silver hammer Made sure that he was dead
[glow=red,2,300]Clearly about Paul and Sylvie[/glow]
I'm gonna have to analyze this one a bit more...
"THE REIGN OF AUGUSTUS (B.C. 31-A.D. 14)
The New Imperial Government, I.—Augustus and the Roman World, II.—The Age of Augustus, III.
I. THE NEW IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT
Beginning of the Empire.—We have taken the date of the battle of Actium (B.C. 31) to mark the beginning of the empire, because Octavius then became the sole and undisputed master of the Roman world. But it is not so important for us to fix upon a particular date for the beginning of the empire, as it is to see that some form of imperialism had come to be a necessity. During the whole period of the civil wars we have seen the gradual growth of the one-man power. We have seen it in the tribunate under the Gracchi; in the successive consulships of Marius; in the perpetual dictatorship of Sulla; in the sole consulship of Pompey; in the absolute rule of Julius Caesar. The name of “king” the Romans hated, because it brought to mind the memory of the last Tarquin. But the principle of monarchy they could not get rid of, because they had found no efficient form of government to take its place. The aristocratic government under the senate had proved corrupt, inefficient, and disastrous to the people. A popular government without representation had shown itself unwieldy, and had become a prey to demagogues. There was nothing left for the Romans to do except to establish some form of monarchy which would not suggest the hated name of king. "

Byrds, you are a little too antagonistic for me. I especially love your post where you say you have a special clue from"Abbey Road" that you can't share at this time.Whatever. I'm really tring to get some "intelligent" input on this.
The Beatles archive could be incorrect, and I think I've explained the connection to BC 31.
As far as your problem with my claim that "Maxwell's" is about Paul and Sylvie, I say open your eyes. It's about two people getting into heavy drugs, probably manufacturing them at home. Suddenly they run into some trouble and "BANG BANG" the silver hammer comes down on their heads and makes them dead.
