Do you know what they should do?
They should take a sample of Faul's DNA and compare it to that of his "relatives" - when the media find that the match is not a match at all, Faul will be uncovered... it's so simple....the only thing is that Faul probably wouldn't consent to a DNA test.. it's a good idea though!

Get a sample of Faul's DNA, perhaps saliva from a glass he just drank from, or a blood sample, and compare it to old medical records of the real James Paul. I realize this would be a dangerous mission, and the services of a femme-fatale secret agent would be required. Would any of the current board members be willing to take on the task?

I'm willing to bet, that when Faul dies, either there will be some legal document preventing any such dna probes on the corpse of interest, OR the body will secretly & mytsteriously just simply disappear. ................without a trace.

he'll probably have his body cremated and his ashes scattered into the wind

Yoko cremated John, even though he feared it. Apparently his face was peaceful before he went into the oven and then it turned into a painful grimace as he went into the oven - freaky eh!

I'm willing to bet, that when Faul dies, [cut] there will be some legal document preventing any such dna probes on the corpse of interest" The same would apply to *any* person that died - unless there is a good reason to hold an inquest, it would be most unusual for permission to be given to take a tissue sample. Let's assume that the person you call Faul really is Paul, for a moment... Would you expect his family to give permission for a DNA sample? No, you wouldn't, even though there would be nothing to fear from such a DNA test. How would your family react if you died and someone you didn't know requested a DNA sample? Which is to say that when the person we variously know as Paul/ Faul dies and permission is denied for a DNA sample, it proves nothing.

Good thinking on the DNA. Unfortunately, and rather obviously, faul is for all intents and purposes untouchable. He revels in the life of ultra rich, mega successful, legendary icon to the establishment which created him and protects and bolsters him. The book 'Many Years From Now' was sickening; a fawning, self-masturbatory vanity project which only accomplished to reveal the height of ego and pretentious pomposity. (whew!)
I found the niggling, tit-for-tat verbal clawing for "who wrote what" petty and unseemly. The epitome of self-centered crassness.
This Faul believes his own cover story to the freaking HILT; he must be a drag to be around!
