Subject line means that was how I felt before I came across the web site with the evidence. (Andrew Spooner's site)
Here's my take on how it all started for myself... I remember way back in the summer of 1970, when i was eight, a kid from New York visited us in New Hampshire and told us "Oh Paul is dead." Ok we are in the sticks up here I guess, I know that idea was old news to many, but we were shocked to say the least. I remember snippits.. "the nose is different, the face is different", etc. I also remember he said "but now in Let It Be, the real Paul is back." So perhaps to this kid, the imposter was obvious early on, but in his mind, since the Let It Be pics looked more like Paul, that meant James Paul went away for a while? Wish I could remember more..
From then on, I remember myself and others in the family trying to spin records backwards and discussing the clues that everyone was talking about. As time went on, I simply dismissed it as a hoax, either perpertrated by the Beatles, perhaps a rumor/urban legend that wouldn't go away. Now, more that 30 years later, BAM it hit me! It's for freakin' real! Now I'm really on a mission much like many of you, studying the music, the voice, the videos, still pictures, you name it! I went through the Strawberry Fields video like it was the Zapruder film!
I hope to contribute some ideas here as time goes on, one thing that interests me is the old pictures of Paul being "Faulized". I can see it here and there from stuff I've seen on the web. I hope to find some old books or magazines from the James Paul era and compare/contrast with pictures of real Paul that are being published now in this era of Photoshop. Gonna start checking out the used bookstores in the area for that material.
Count me in!
