Someone says thet Boogaloo was one of the nicknames of Paul (Faul?)
Wake up, meat head
Don't pretend that you are dead
Get yourself up off the cart.
Get yourself together now
And give me something tasty,
"Don't pretend that you are dead" ?!
It almost sounds as if Ringo is telling Faul (Boogaloo) to back off and
let Paul (Meat Head) pull himself together and rejoin the group!
And what about this?:
"Got to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout or leap about
You can even play them easy
Forget about the past and all your sorrowThe future won't last
It will soon by your tomorrow"
Faul wasn't obsessed with the past and full of sorrow!
It seems that Paul was, after the death of Sylvie.
"Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of
my watering eye"
(Verse from Pink Floyd's "Learning To Fly")
I'm inclined to think that the clues suggest that Paul and Sylvie were together,
walking on a wall on the beach that had been part of a gun fortress in France.
J. Hallyday confronted them, since Sylvie was his wife.
There was a scuffle, which resulted in Sylvie falling off the wall, to her death.

(Bowie lyrics suggest J.H., not Paul, at fault for Sylvie's fall in "Life On Mars" lyrics.)
Paul tried to escape from France on a plane he had been planning to use for running away with Sylvie with.
("She's Leaving Home" and Pink Floyd's "Learning To Fly")
The plane was shot down by the French military.
(Pink Floyd's "The Dogs of War" and Procol Harum's "FOR LIQUORICE JOHN" )
The wreckage of the plane was found just off shore of France, amidst boats moored at docks
along the English channel. (Pink Floyd's "Signs of Life".)
Paul survived, but was considered insane by authorities,
and was held prisoner at a mental facility in France.
(Elton John's "Madman Across The Water")
The English government rescued Paul from France
but not as an official act. Essentially he was sneaked
out of France (possibly dressed as a woman) by a band of young 'pirates' which
may have included some musician friends of his.
(Faul's "Monkberry Moon Delight" and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey". Also "Band On the Run")
(Dylan's "Chimes of Freedom" and "All Along the Watchtower" [which describes Paul and Faul meeting, imo])
Paul was returned to England, and stayed in a self-imposed seclusion; depressed by the death of Sylvie.
(The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black")
Was Ringo singing to Paul in these songs? Sure sounds like it!
Maybe Faul wasn't lying when, speaking as 'Paul', he quoted Mark Twain saying,
"Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
