JP, did you originally write Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and what were the original lyrics? ;D

The album after Revolver had to be a "returning home" one.
All about Liverpool and our early age.
The music was taken from a tape I left with my da-da-daa-da on.
John then put the lyrics.
Bill sung that song.
Better when he shouts than trying to imitate my softer voice..

That is great! Thank you. I remember hearing about how they wanted to make an album about their childhood and the record company put pressure on them to make another hit so they couldn't do the album. Seems to make sense.

I agree; Bill can belt! Good blues edge. But ballads were JP's speciallty. Sweet middle voice.
Bill does a great job on "Oh! Darling" on Abbey Road, in my opinion. Really exciting vocal.
I'd like to have heard JP's vocal on the verses on "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." That is where the telling of it really begins, to me..............

I think so except for the insert where John is singing "It's wonderful to be here, it's certainly a thrill"....

Even when sung completely by Bill or Neil some of my songs have my true voice in certain verses.
