I know believe that William Shepherd is not Faul's true name, it just alludes to the fact that people are under his spell, and follow him like SHEEP when in fact he's pulling the WOOL over people's eyes.
Also, a shepherd has a crook right?
Well if someone is a crook, they are a thief, so faul has stolen JPM's identity and if something is crook, then there is something wrong with it...........

please note that someone being a "shepherd" doesn't necessarily have a negative connotation to it... yeah usually when we call people "sheep" it means they aren't thinking and they are being led by someone who means them harm, but it could also mean that the shepherd is a "leader"... wasn't jesus referred to as "The good shepherd"?
a shepherd has a crook? I don't follow you there... what is a shepherd's "crook"? if that cane-looking thing is actually called a "crook", I don't see where you are going with that...

I'm just thinking out loud the same way anyone else does on here, after all it is a forum. I was just saying that the guy who replaced paul might not actually be called william shepherd, but it might be a nickname because of what the word shepherd can mean, and associated links such as a crook etc.
Anyway,of course some words have more than one meaning, but in this instance i used the definitition of the word that best validates the point i was trying to make.

Sorry, you were right its the name stick that shepherds carry which traditionally has a loop shaped hook on the end.

okay cool I learned something, that looped-cane thing that you always see shepherds with is a "crook"...
that being said, it's a little silly to start going off on tangents simply based on words that are associated with other words...
"shepherds have sheep, right? well where else are there sheep? Right! You count sheep to fall asleep! So Faul is trying to get us to 'fall asleep'!"
see what I mean?

I know exactly what you mean def, a lot of other people do it so i thought i'd have a go ;D
Theres no harm in looking but when i see people looking up William Campbell, Billy Shears, William Shepherd i feel that it might just be a pointless exercise because i reckon faul could have a thousand aliases but i don't think that the people who vested him would have covered the tracks pretty well.
My point is the name William Shepherd may be more of a descriptive term than an actual name, or just another red herring.

I dedicate this to... (Derek Taylor, a reminder, he confirmed the Pepper cover was a grave, claimed at the end of SFF it says: "I'm very bored", interesting in that the story later was that it said "cranberry sauce")
