I currently read a boock which called "ASHES OF ANGELA" the author is Francky Mc Court. It's an autobiography short Franck Mc Court tells his early childhooh in Ireland. And a moment to give it quotes on several occasions the friend's name : Billy Campbell Odd no? ?

If it is the same Campbell...and who says it isn't?...it is both odd and the purest of circumstance. Campbell doesn't really care who knows about his assuming the life and career of Paul McCartney and he can slip in and out of it without much resistance. It may be just his way of being real for a moment or two.

I don't know about that Taxman. He's spent an awful lot of money becoming Paul and he gets extremely vexed when called "Billy."

In the beginning, I think there were times when Bill felt overwhelmed by what he'd taken on. He commented a time or two "I'm not him". However, it didn't take long for the man to fall in love with the limelight and being "Paul McCartney". The home, the Aston Martin (brand new 1966 model), the pretty, well-bred girlfriend were very intoxicating to him.
Now he doesn't want to admit to anything other than being "Paul McCartney". He vehemently denies that Paul was replaced. He has $2.4 billion to back him up!
I don't know the man, so maybe he can re-enter his old identity/life in Canada....when he goes home, but somehow I rather doubt it. I believe the old Bill Campbell or what ever his name was "disappeared" just like James Paul did.

Didn't we already establish that Faul's real name is William Sheppard? Of course, I only say this because the only PID source I've read is the 60IF document.

Yes, that's correct Sir60if. Welcome to the forums BTW. It's probably just a coincidence in this case, though it could be referring to the hoax name that many do.

Welcome Sir60if! Pull up a chair and sit a spell. Can I get you a nice cuppa? Blond or brunette?
Well, it seems this guy can't decide on his name. He has been called Bill Shepard, Bill Campbell and possibly even Kenneth Douglas Holden (this last is questionable, but possible) Maybe it is an attempt to really throw off people trying to find out who he really is. And he does have the finances to confuse things and cover his tracks.

ALERT: to date, IMO, the name William Shepperd is based upon urban myth...so far......unless someone can enlighten me on this assumption but, I AM convinced the WMS graffitti monogram on the back photo of Ringo'e Rotogravure belongs to the one and only Faul. Also, the "come back (M, upside down W- Willie" placard in the "All you Need is Love" telecast (I think the plea was for Willie alone to understand.) I'm actually leaning towards William Maxwell Sheppa(e)rd, as there are close relatives in the Canadian Royal Airforce...........pure speculation on my part, so far.........

Kinda gives a new meaning to "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" another tie in. Perhaps a spoof on his name by John?

LUCY,
"Campbell" is the urban legend/myth name. "Sheppard" is the real one according to 60IF.

Your are, of course, correct. There was a certain party that was muddying the waters for awhile and got us confused, which is what his game was.

It came from Shadowmine, a supposed insider who appears to have been having us on.

Angela's Ashes is an excellent book recounting the struggle of one Family to survive appalling conditions in post war Ireland. Am I missing something? I don't think it's odd and don't see the link here. Why shouldn't the author have a friend named W Campbell? Campbell wasn't Faul's original name, and even if it was, why would it be the same guy mentioned in the book? There must be thousands of William Campbells out there

William Campbell of Ontario seems to be a likely Faul candidate, imo.
