www.vartanfanmedia.com/Here are three pictures I found on Michael Vartan’s fan page. He is the nephew of Silvie Vartan. All three of them are posted as Silvie Vartan. Italics are mine. This first picture shows Silvie Vartan( Fylvie) the description of the picture is “10 Year Anniversary for Sylvie Vartan (MV's aunt) and Tony Scotti taken June 2, 1994.” The description for the second one is: “Sylvie/( Fylvie) and Ilona Vartan (MV's aunt and grandmother) with friends taken October 27, 1999. Photographer: Eric Robert.” This is the third one: “Estelle Hallyday, Tony Scotti, Sylvie Vartan (MV's aunt) David Hallyday (MV's cousin) and Eddie Vartan (MV's dad) taken November 24, 1998. Photographer: Stephane Cardinale.” The first 2 pictures you can see the Fylvies look like the same woman…( are the same woman to me) same hair style, same waist size, an average size woman. The first picture is from 1994 and the second picture is from 1999. You can tell they are the same woman. In the third picture (1998) you see a woman with a different hair style …much shorter and look at her waist... it is much, much smaller than the first two pictures. Silvie was a petite woman. I think this is the real Silvie Vartan. I think she is alive and retired from show biz and if this is true, we have one more person on our list who knows the truth. also...see the medal on Silvie's jacket in the third picture? What is that medal?

hahahaha yes they are Doc Is there a plot to cause me to lose my feeble mind, here? ('paranoia' movie soundtrack begins...) OK, the last picture, the smallest Sylvie, is to me, so clearly the girl in the "Locomotion" video Well, look, here's an exhaustive and laborious post I did over at NIR to illustrate my reactions to her songs and videos.. Well, artistically, I have really grown to enjoy her (their) performances, although I find them to be full of variety that bespeaks more than one person...... Anyway, here is a reprint of that post: This is an old video/"scopotone" of a French pop singer from the 1960's, known as Sylvie Vartan. These vids of "her" run 1962-1964. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YnQRrgN21s&mode=related&search=www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxaVHKMoA3swww.youtube.com/watch?v=b8yD5M1ygLwwww.youtube.com/watch?v=j1D8yVskXc0www.youtube.com/watch?v=apgaPyotNsIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=Id2lsjpiN4U&mode=related&search=Now, here are examples of whom some of us have been tempted to call "Fylvie." They start in 1966. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3uL8M0svSQ&mode=related&search=www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZCbwg6VmnISee at One minute and sixteen seconds, the extended close-up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-JnYCEBoU&mode=related&search=Here is one in 1973 that shows a lanky girl. I know its 11 years later, but how do you go from medium height and short waisted to this? Check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uiyvfT1HYY&mode=related&search=Anyway, there are obvious differences in the body, demeanor, mouth, smile, etc. Fylvie seldom smiles, she seems more regal; Sylvie had a cute, infectious grin. But the eyelids are the give away. Sylvie had those "hooded", epicanthic eyefolds that we see in people who've got East European ancestry, as Sylvie immigrated from Hungary to France. Fylvie has very high arched, half-moon clown circles for her eyelids. Sylvie's eyebrow ridge is rather low and there her lid fat wants to almost cover the top of her eyes. Make-up can't change this very much, as millions of oriental woman can attest. The surgery for it is iffy and in any event, CANNOT give you the West European, Gallic type eye structures anyway,; you can not change the room that the skull itself allows you for your eye sockets, THAT is at least one unchangeable thing in cosmetic surgery. The cranium is fixed, and the trauma needed to try to adjust the bones around your eyes and frontal brain lobe would be very dangerous. See these two attached pictures below, you'll see what I mean. In both pictures, the real Sylvie is the one wearing the dark colored top. Many features between the girls are admittedly, rather similar. For me, it is simply a case of a totally different pair of eyes, that no make up or procedure could reconcile. Why? Did she die? What happened? Of course we do not pretend to know, although many theories or floating about. I do not think the original Sylvie is dead. Study the eyes, the facial habits of the first Sylvie, and notice how these woman are simply NOT built the same way, and in spite of heels, clothing camouflage, etc, I personally see too much radical body change to be explained by the normal processes that aging from 18-24, and in one case 29, would cause. I KNOW people change, but if are not a string bean at 18 but you are rather slender, you can not ever become a string bean. Your facial shape will not change from medium and round to an elongated oval. Your eyelid type and the shape of your ocular cavity is fixed. Look at this:Click the link, it is safe: img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/DoctorRobert/perplexed.gifFrom 5 years old to 16 years old----relative position and proportion of features remains fixed as we develop. Cartilidge grows a lot, hence nasal length and ears DO change, but eyes and mouth, and here, even lips and smile lines remain the same despite living thru 11 years of the most major changes a person experiences. The only real differences for me now are the additions of a number of chins, damn it, and fatigue of supporting tissues around the eyes and mouth, some loss of skin moisture, and I'm just frikkin' gettin' old! Now, many of you may not see this Sylvie thing, and that's OK, because its a bit ephemeral. We may be wrong at NIR.But having studied her for a while now, and getting to know her before and after we think around 1966 (that halcyon year) it looks like a strong likelihood (to us.) As I can tell, Sylvie was a fox, a waif, a girlish cutey with a somewhat diminutive presence. "Fylvie", for lack of a name from anyplace to dub her, is attractive and sexy, and where Sylvie was girl-next-door appeaing, Fylvie has a more mincing air, a more serious demeanor, and is long waisted with an extended abdomen and pelvic area, and possess limbs that would make Olive Oyl jealous. Shoulders! Sylvie had sparrow shoulders and little distance from waistline to bra-line. Fylvie is built like the Bionic Woman. Now, what she does have over Sylvie is this: a rare and PERFECT hourglass figure. Still, that silver lamé number she has on is really pretty hot. I mean, I don't do drag, or anything like that (you'd probably know by now if I did), but occasionally I marvel at the creations some women get to wear. It's, for them, really all a matter of their figure, and how in shape they are, and their proportions. Proportions on a person like me would simply never give credit to that kind of garment. For example: END OF QUOTED POST. _________________________________________________________ jilli, do YOU think they are all one woman, or, at least, two? Am I losing my marbles? Someone tell me this is all a huge practical joke. Now, I don't MIND if it is three women, I just don't want to think that I am crazy and looking like a fool (once again) because I "percieve" something unusual....... I have no problems with things that are unusual. Like I said: That just about says it all.

Doc if you are asking about my post, I think the first 2 women are the same woman, Fylvie, and the last picture is Silvie. when you asked if all three women were alive, I thought you were making a joke. The first 2 women I posted are so much the same woman to me that I didnt realise you were serious. I changed my post so you can better understand it. See if it makes sense now. My bad. Posted by Doc: (Now, here are examples of whom some of us have been tempted to call "Fylvie." They start in 1966.) are you saying these are Sylvie? This might not make sense, but Fylvie seems to have two faces and one body, i.e., somewhere along the way her face is either worked on, or she had an accident and had to have a fix, but something changes in the face. She remains, er, uh, tall.
Sylvie is built like an in-law I have. She looks like she wore Size 1 or 2, maybe petite sizes back in 1964.
Fylvie? Size 6, maybe 8 in some tayloring--and TALL.
The camera lens may "lie", but the "rack" doesn't.
Only her "seamstress" knows for sure.

Revolver was indeed 1966 and was the first acid album. I would assume Palin (where are you P?) made a typo at the end as he is(was?) a Beatles fanatic well versed in the chronology of the UK and US album releases. 'twas on a Beatles site we first met.
SK, McCartney did indeed first admit to taking LSD in 1967, but that was because he simply hadn't discussed it before then. All the Beatles tried it when staying at Peter Fonda's house in the US on tour there prior to Revolver being recorded in 1966, and although Lennon and Harrison had been slipped it already by Dr Robert, I think the US trip (!) was McCartney's first time.

Here's another real sylvie video--- called i'm watching you www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T__nFEwB88It has a bit of a beatley ring to it wouldn't you say? I wouldn't be surprised if she and Paul wrote this together. Also in the beggining the french announcer is talking about how the beatles came to france and became extremely close with the pop-star, to the point of causing some "problems/stress" ----? One more key note worth mentioning, there is a lot of "distortion" on the video's audio and visual effects............ Is it merely "distortion" for lack of a better word....... or is it something...........more complex....... hint hint..... most videos & pictures from this era has this one similarity. here's another example---- I also happen to love this video- she's so cute, not hard to see why Paul fell madly in love with her & vice-versa www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxaVHKMoA3s

hold on, I need to correct myself-- the announcer in the I'm watching you video is saying that "the beatles first came to Paris france in 1964" (note that it is the real Paul getting off the plane & in the photos, along with the real sylvie) He also says that "the beatles began mingling with the idols of the young @ the time, & became particularly close with Sylvie Vartan. He continues in saying that "the complexities between the two artists (french vs. english) have ended with the birth (no pun intended, really this is what he said) of a song, that hasn't been around very long created by sylvie called "i'm watching you" Obviously her & Paul taught eachother some of their languages how else would they communicate?? Which also explains the french influences in some of the beatles music (e.g.-all you need is love sounding like a french hymn, michelle my bell & a few others) and also the English influence in Sylvies songs, considering she wrote some songs fully in English, eh?
