There was a man who was set up as a Paul McCartney lookalike during 1966-1967. His name is Dino Danelli. He was the drummer of "The Rascals" DINO DANELLI BEFORE 1966 DINO DANELLI DURING/AFTER 1966 [/IMG] .... ooops this last one ... I've made a mistake........ OR NOT? (stay in tune .... there is more....)

San Francisco, 29th August 1966 It was James Paul McCartney (on the left) or Dino Danelli (on the right) with make-up?

Where have we seen this guy before? Very handsome man indeed. BP< all of those Dino pictures above, in the longer post, are they really ALL of Dino? A couple seem to be possibly a different guy.

From - www.daytrippin.com/beatle_events.htmSid Bernstein (promoter of Shea Stadium concerts) Sid brought the first bands of the British invasion to America which included the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, The Animals, The Kinks, Herman's Hermits, Dave Clark Five, Manfred Mann and Gerry and the Pacemakers. Among the groups he managed were The Rascals, Melba Moore, Laura Brannigan and Phoebe Snow. He introduced ABBA to America...the list goes on and on. A connection.

I don't know anymore these days, but ,as far as I think I can remember, straining my ancient memory, that this kind of look was more of what I remember McCartney having from waaaaay back in the day. But you say this is Dino and the google says that it's Dino, so I realize this is Dino, and I fear that my memory will never recall for me what I think I saw 40 years ago. Perhaps I saw Dino also on TV and somehow my young mind swapped the two images out. Why this would happen I'll never know, but I am now questioning, is this what has happened to my recall? Dyxlexic memory. Swapping two similar pictures.............I hope not. I better start popping Ginseng tablets again..........

faul and fingo?
i'm going to......faint.
nope, ringo sounds the same on all the studio session tapes.
yet "paul" does not. tapes of old press conferences make for the best faul comparisons. even a good listen to ANTHOLOGY makes the two voices seem remarkable different.
wasn't dino a better drummer than ringo??
there was a comment a couple of years back about the MMT clip for a certain song..... in which it appeared all 4 beatles were played by lookalikes. the general trend here in the past couple of months seems to be towards a calculated replacement of paul and not a "KKK plot" or other unforeseen demise.
then again this is STILL a work in progress i suppose.

faul and fingo? i'm going to......faint. Some points to ponder... Remember, by the time of MMT, all the players had been set into motion. The clues on "Sgt. Pepper" tell the story. There was "no going back" from that event. (despite later pleas to reconsider) Everything that happened beyond that point had to follow script. "Two are flying, two are not." Apollo "Two are flying, two are not." faul and fingo?nope, ringo sounds the same on all the studio session tapes. yet "paul" does not. tapes of old press conferences make for the best faul comparisons. even a good listen to ANTHOLOGY makes the two voices seem remarkable different. wasn't dino a better drummer than ringo?? there was a comment a couple of years back about the MMT clip for a certain song..... in which it appeared all 4 beatles were played by lookalikes. the general trend here in the past couple of months seems to be towards a calculated replacement of paul and not a "KKK plot" or other unforeseen demise. then again this is STILL a work in progress i suppose. Fixing the last holes in the long and winding road.

Sorry to mess you about but, when you make fades, can you show the two original pics followed by a total fade from one to the other.

I'm beginning to have more and more questions about who this Apollo C Vermouth is. Over the years McCartney has released work under a number of alter egos. This has generally been for more experimental and less commercial material. In 1967 he produced the song "I'm the Urban Spaceman" by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, but McCartney was credited as "Apollo C. Vermouth".That left one's a terrible picture of Ringo. Give us an other one.

for some reason i am reminded of an old song by the quirk-rock duo SPARKS. part of the song [called "i predict"] goes like this:
"They're gonna find the Queen is a man But that Philip don't care (I predict) Lassie will prove that Elvis and her Had a fleeting affair (I predict) Are my sources correct Are my sources correct Yes I know they're corect (I predict)"
