Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing theory, nearly holeless; but there's just one problem I noticed: on the layout with the pics and story and all, it talks about the young boy they found who did the vocals for a time. I looked at the picture, and I do believe that it is Neil Aspinal. Thing is, Neil was with The Beatles before they were even famous, and on the story it says they found him in '66. Also, on the pic on the White Album, it shows Faul during the filming of "Hey Jude", and the person beside him is supposed to be the vocalist, but it's not the same person. This confuses me. If anybody has an answer for this, please let me know.

Hi Paibb. Welcome to the forum!
Yes you are correct the vocal imitator in the picture is in fact Neil Aspinall. The young boy with the great vocal imitation in the 60IF story is NOT Neil Aspinall though we believe. Thanks to the great work of Uberkinder, he found the person 60IF is talking about. The name he found was Terry Draper of the band Klaatu. Evidently he sang on the Beatles Christmas album in 1966 and partly on Hello, Goodbye. This isn't definite, but the research Uberkinder did and the contributions others have done on the board seems to point that way. Look back in some of the posts or email Uberkinder for more detailed information on this.
Neil Aspinall sang on songs such as When I'm Sixty Four, Blackbird, Fixing A Hole and Mother Nature's Son to name a few others. It's amazing how well he sang in Paul's voice. The person next to Faul on the white album poster IS Neil Aspinall I believe. After seeing the Anthology and comparing it to that picture I would definitely say that is Neil. The pointed down eyebrows and long face and chin are unique to Neil.

can you tell who the scottish voice belongs too?

Well we know Neil Aspinall is from Wales. He moved to Liverpool from Wales when he was a teenager I believe and went to school with Paul and George. We just don't know a) if his heritage is Scottish or b) if Welsh accents are very similar to Scottish accents.
This comes from Spanky recognizing an accent very similar to Scottish in the song When I'm Sixty Four. The particular line is "Grandchildren on your knees...".

the accent in that one sentence is very much a scottish accent, its unmistakable and cannot be mistaken for welsh, liverpudlian or any other northern english accent. In fact i would go so far as to say that its a south west scotland accent. Very distinct

Do you think he deliberately put a fake Scottish accent in there? Maybe to throw people off about his identity? The original fake story about Paul being dead was that his replacement was William Campbell from Scotland. Hmmmm....

no i don't think so the accent is to authentic. I got the feeling from listening to the song that he was faking the english accent and couldn't pronounce that with the english and so reverted back to his own voice. I know from experience that there are certain words i can't pronounce without my accent

Probably Neil had (still has, I hope) a Scottish Mom. So Faul had a italian Mom. It explains the scottish accent in that song. Soon it was correct....

I'm sorry sun king i have to disagree... I was born and raised in scotland and my daughter is american but she doesn't pick up my accent at all. That accent in when i'm 64 is a full blooded scottish man. Is it possible that there is more than one voice on that song?

No problem, Spanky! He could be "only" another imitator... ;D One of the first contenders? BTW "When I Am 64" was THE FIRST recorded song after James Paul's death. So it's another evidence that James Paul McCartney never sung that song... "Penny Lane" was just overdubbed by the imitator....

I honestly don't believe this whole "imposter" story, and the "original" Paul McCartney dying, sorry, I'm not that gullible to what I read online. You can't compare pictures taken from different angles and colors. The whole "Paul is Dead" to me is as outrageous as "Elvis is still alive" or "Man NEVER walked on the moon". Sorry, but I need to hear, for myself, this so-called "fake" Paul admit he is not really Paul McCartney, which will never happen, because he IS Paul McCartney. The truth would have gotten out LONG before now. Nobody, I don't care who you are, can keep this inside this long. You would think Paul McCartney's family would have let this out by now, either slip up and let it leak or whatever. If one of my family members died, I don't care what band they were in or how famous they were, I would never take money as a bribe to keep my mouth shut about him being dead. You guys are too gullible, no offense. Don't you understand that this was an inside joke between John and Paul? Just let me say this... If Paul McCartney ever admits he's not who he says he is, I'll streak past Abbey Road, I Swear to God...
But Yoko setting John up- I believe...

Ok, that's your thought but not mine. Sorry!! That's all well and good. Everyone has an opinion, but being a Beatles fan my whole life, I just can't believe this. I never have. How could they keep this up for nearly 38 years? There's no way in hell. Just think about it. How stupid would you feel if somehow this was proved that he really is Paul McCartney? But no way can anyone, ever replace Paul McCartney. If someone else did the singing for this imposter, who only won that look alike contest, how could he be as talented as well? I've read that someone else, similar to Paul did the singing, but what about this "Faul's" concerts? He's very talented, and obviously no one is doing the singing for him. Just because this fake Paul looks like the "real" one doesn't mean he's as talented. Let's think about this, people...

Dear Alex P. Keaton, have you EVER seen James Paul McCartney "live" before 1967? I 've seen Faul (Billy Sheppard) "live" in Rome on 11th May 2003. I spent 30 years playing music. I play Beethoven Chopin Debussy Bach on my piano. I am a music producer too. Sorry but what I've seen is one of the weirdest musician I've ever seen "live", NOT THE GENIUS. Your love for THE BEATLES blinds your eyes and close your ears. Before receiving "60IF" I was NOT a Beatles fan. Now perhaps I'm one of the GREATEST. We ALL in this forum ARE Beatles Fans. And we have understood that:
"60IF" IS -THE BEATLES APOTHEOSIS-

Alex P. Keaton, why don't you take the facial comparisons on the site and take them to a forensic artist and see if they hold water? If you don't want to do that and prove it for yourself, then your position is no better than what you state ours is....

BTW everybody, look at the pic posted by Alex P. Keaton. Does that picture of Paul not looked doctored or what?

I was like Alex when I first started reading the things on this site. I couldn't, wouldn't, believe it. But then after looking at all the comparisons, both pictures and music, it is very hard to dispute he is a fake.
Isn't it coincidental that Faul, when he started Wings, never sang any pre 66 songs that he supposedly wrote? He finally started singing some of them back in the 80's. Probably wanted to get the voice down so he wouldn't look like an ass. ;D

Rojopa, EVERYONE here, before reading "60IF" was like you. Me too. But yours, ours was a clever attidude. Like Victor and Winston and so MANY others. I repeat: "I was THE FIRST that didn't believe in "60IF". I spent months before "accepting" a so self-evident but devastating truth. So I undestand their feelings now. But not flaming -never- Thank You, Rojopa!
