I've always seen a relation between these photos. What do you think?

Welcome, Question! I am not really sure if they are the same or not. It seems the bleary figure in the picture on the piano is wearing white and Johnny is wearing a black or dark colored shirt......
Can you blow up that picture so we can get a better idea?

Yes, it's interesting about who were on those photos on that magazine...
I see two heads in profile on that one.
I'd like to see the original.
Tip: search among the magazines that talked on 1966 about the Bonzo Dogs.

I have to say i disagree, due to the fact that when comparing the two pics, one is black where the other is white and vice versa, however, BP i think that seems about right, either two heads or some sort of mirror image, both representing JPM and faul.

Anyway, what I always found odd is why there is no sheet music, or chords, or whatever on the piano, instead of what seems a magazine.
If that guy is Bill, could that be pictures showing Paul playing piano so he could his postures?

I've looked better and it seems to be on the left a 3/4 head of Paul with a shadow on and on the right a profile of Bill performing Vivian. So it could be right what told by Plastic One... Two classic profiles of Bill/Viv:

Unless there is a better-quality copy of that pic somewhere, I don't see how anyone here can honestly say they really think they have a handle on what those pics are... you can't see it at all!

THe dark background black area forms a giant, bold type "M" in the small print on the piano. THe closer picture of Johnny is, in terms of shadows and whites, a picture of wholly different composition. I do seem to see 2 heads in the hard to see one, and one may be Paulie.

Well the thread is entitled "The same photo?" Non?
The answer is no.
"How do you know?" you may well ask.
Well, copy the lennon pic and open with any simple paint something more advanced if you prefer and shrink it down to round about the same size as the pic in question on the piano and compare.
Et voila, the tones do not match at all, one similarity is the white area in the middle but theyre different shapes.
I was in the "two heads camp" but on closer inspection i actually think its an image of JPM very similar to the scene in Help! where they are playing on that barren caribbean island where he is wearing a navy blue tight t-shirt making you think its warm when it actually looks bloody freezing and windy!

Looks like somebody holding another person on their shoulders. However the person on the shoulders is starting to fall off so legs are sticking out.

Cool, so it definitely is not the same picture. If we can't agree on that here, we will never be able to agree on anything.

With the clear picture it looks more like somebody riding in a shopping cart or something. Does anyone know if that is a white piano in the background or a coffin?

It is the same photo I'd say, although the white album one had some de-sharpening and a got a bit lighter.

(Now we know that "Faul" was just a full make-up until the Beatles break)

Please take a look at this picture from Sir George Martin: As you know there's been much debate about if the man playing the piano was Bill or George Martin. No doubt he looks a lot like George Martin. Please, consider this: if you look at the "piano photo", you'll see a spot on the right eye-browse of whoever is playing it. If you look the GM picture above you'll see the same spot. This makes me think again that this man is in fact George Martin. BeatlePaul, please note that even if it's so, it doesn't mean that anything in 60IF isn't true at all. It's just that the picture is not from Bill.

But let's return to that picture... On the background I see the same tent of Paul Raymond's bar stage... A Bonzo Dogs show?

better quality! woohoo! I still think it can't be George Martin, this person looks far to old and wrinkly. Also, I don't think that it's the same photo (going back to the original topic)

Also, I don't think that it's the same photo (going back to the original topic) Maybe it's a mix up. "Strange" patterns on his cheek, nose and chin. There is a GREAT resemblance with George Martin ...but as Apollo C. Vermouth told.... the important is that magazine on the piano... Paul Raymond Bar? Bonzos Dogs performances? www.highbeam.com/library/doc0.asp?docid=1G1:85607530&refid=ink_tptd_np&skeyword=&teaser=WHEN Soho's Raymond Revue Bar became the first legal nude show with moving dancers in 1958, it sparked moral outrage.
Now, more than 40 years later, the venue has asked permission to have completely naked table-dancers for the first time, to keep up with modern-day rivals such as Stringfellows and Spearmint Rhino.
The Raymond Revue Bar was set up by Paul Raymond, previously a travelling entertainer with a clairvoyant act that had been wearing thin with audiences.
Within years of its establishment the venue just off Berwick Street became famous ...
