A person at another forum had this to say about the IAM symbol. "That's the symbol of the Fourteenth Degree or 'Perfect Elu' four in Scottish Rite Freemasonry. the Letter Yod (or as you have anglicized, the 'I Am') symbolizes the Holy Tetragrammaton, and the Letter Delta, which surrounds it, symbolizes the Trinitarian aspect of Deity and Man." Non-anglicized? Is this a cuff link?

I only lash out at displays of superior reasoning; don't mind me it's only a knee-jerk reaction. (byrds thinks, "OK, doc, anything you say. Think whatever you want. Woahhhhh, creepy.........") I really do love everyone here; even Lucy. And it's not just the alchohol speaking. (The cough medicine is having a say as well.)

Wow, what an amazing thing that comic was, way back in 1937 yet! I suggest you all read on past the panel Lucy posted, there's definitely an undercurrent here... Edit: Finished it and I had no idea LOA was like this.. This is just giving it all away, the common man who is mostly ignorant of all that goes on, the man who due to his wealth has an inkling, and the eternal man, who understands nothing changes. It was fun, thanks Lucy.

Firstly, many thanks to you LUCY for posting that. Wonderful stuff. As an aside, I love comics from that era, and even earlier as they're always revealing. Check out Windsor McKay and his Little Nemo in Slumberland comics if you find the time "the common man who is mostly ignorant of all that goes on, the man who due to his wealth has an inkling, and the eternal man, who understands nothing changes." Beautifully put. Succinct enough to put on the head of a pin...or cuff-link The machinists union, of which two of my uncles were members, ruled the record pressing and tool and die industries back in the day and their symbol is not without roots, as is the case with most trade unions. A common man, a wealthy man and an eternal man will all see the same symbol differently.

www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/3874/silas1.htmlI can't resist. A bit of Winsor McKay's work. A weird comic strip called "Tales of the Rarebit Fiend" with no recurring characters, just a central theme. The nightmares that people suffered after eating rarebit (a rabbit dish I believe).

The nightmares that people suffered after eating rarebit (a rabbit dish I believe). No, it's just hot melted cheese on crackers. At least, that's what "Welsh rarebit" is. But it's a mindf***, because a rarebit is a Welsh rabbit. So you might be right. Btw, I wonder if that little strip was the inspiration for the Rolling Stones' video where they were giants walking through Manhattan.

Absolutely, and it's clear just by virtue of his name where his "bucks" come from. That panel you posted above caught my attention when I read it, seems to be predicting spy satellites.. Of course he controls many things, but he doesn't understand "AM" for the most part.
