Some people think that it's a spoof on us. I'm not so sure. There is a heavy M4E presence there. The people who set it up feel that Eric was told by George what happened to Paul. Once the powers that be found out about this, Eric was killed & replaced also. I've looked at quite a few photos of Eric before the late 1960's. i'd say, if it's a spoof, it's a pretty good one. of course there are some people there we have also come across on this board. but apart from them, the discussions look genuine to me. plus, i can see the possibility of clapton being replaced. i think i'm going to look up some pictures , because i'm not familiar with the clapton of the 60's.
what i'm wondering, if this is indeed true, is: which clapton is playing on the white album? the real one or the fake one?

Maybe that's the point. I don't know the timeline but off the top of my head I would say that maybe Patti had no interest in Clapton but was attracted to his impersonator.
It seems pretty clear to me that the site is meant as a spoof by some of the early comments of the supposed differences between Eric and Feric.
For instance they talk about how Eric and Feric stand differently in front of the microphone when it seems obvious to me the reason for the different stance is because the the microphone is set at different heights. Also, the claim is made that Eric has his eyes shut and Feric his eyes open while singing. Well, this is only one set of photos and there could easily be others photos showing the reverse. It looks like an attempt to delberately exagerate tiny things, make mountains out of molehills with the implication that that's what we do over here.
Also, there is allusion to up and coming information etc. yet to be revealed. This looks like a satire of how Sun King is sometimes perceived in the way he dishes out info.
In spite of the joking intentions of the site, they may have accidentally stumbled upon another truth - it's possible that Clapton may have really been replaced - I don't know; I don't think anyone's looked into it enough to really know and that's not our main focus here.
Faul is the big one and the key - I think when the truth of Faul comes out, the truths about other celebrity replacements may follow soon after. It's like a house of cards. Once one card falls, the whole house will collapse.

The timeline would be interesting and I don't know it either. If Patti didn't mess around with the real Eric, then maybe the replacement was enticing to her. However, if Eric was killed because George told him the truth about Paul's death, wouldn't Patti also have known the truth and be at risk herself? Apparently, she never questioned the situation if she didn't know and that would be really odd.
However, I am sure people like Patti, Jane, and many others were threatened themselves or their families were.

Now that does give one a pause to think. I haven't really done much on the Clapton forum. This one keeps me plenty busy.
But from what you are saying PB, it is all a spoof and there are a whole lot of M4E'ers there.

I contacted this person known as Openmind some time ago. He's also part of the committee. He says he had nothing to do with it, but since it was a new conspiracy popping up, he felt he should include it to be fair.

   Eric's in the bottom left of the red yardbirds photo . Eric was a yardbird from 1963 to 1965. Same Broken Nose.... Same Mouth...Same Ears...Same Guy. IMO. Can you say ( well documented ) drug abuse...? |

    That's R+R Circus This is more Yardbirds, Eric on the far (our) right.  now he's on our left  more recent  with a 'fro and Broken Nose Plainly visible  With a twisted honker like that, I'm guessing that at some point Eric had surgery for a deviated septum later in his career.  I still see the same man all through, although he does have a changing appearance, clothes and hair wise, and weight and age wise. Strong evidence otherwise might sway me ...better be good though! |

He was replaced either during or BEFORE Cream. As I stated, I haven't done much research on this. However, there is noway that the man who is claiming to be Eric Clapton today is the ORIGINAL Eric Clapton. Like Paul, Eric had a small round face & a small slight build. Like Faul/Bill, Feric has a longer thinner face & is a bigger man. What I find interesting is that Faul/ Bill's eyes are closer together than Paul's were. Feric's eyes are WIDER APART than Eric's were. Go figure, eh??? Here goes: Eric:      Feric:      Go check it out for yourself. Google - image - Eric Clapton. a couple of weeks ago, i bought the "rock&roll circus"-dvd by the rolling stones. the recordings for this show took place late '68.
one of the acts is "yer blues" by "the dirty mac", with john lennon ("winston legthy"), mitch mitchell (drummer of the jimi hendrix experience), keith richards (on bass) and eric clapton. (nice performance, by the way). clapton was with cream around that time.
now, the clapton in that performance looks to me to be the same guy calling himself eric clapton today. please have a look for yourself if you think he isn't. |

This is a specualtive thread only based on what originally looked like a spoof 60IF forum so I wouldn't put much credence in the idea of Clapton being replaced.
